Xmas Drinkies
Xmas Drinkies, as much as you like to think that it's different, it's all the same.
Tonight I ran into this old-ish guy at work drinkies today, he asked what I do at work, rather than saying I work for my company, I was bluntly honest, "yes I work here, I manage the supply chain, and at the end of the day, it's not what products I look after, I make the process work", somehow he was utterly impressed, and said I got it sussed.
He's in the same industry as me, he admits he's in the business of managing people - be it his past role in Manufacturing, Mining, Finance, and then support and then Account Manager.
To him, it's all the same, to him, it's the people.
To me, I still fix things.
